Hardneck (forms a stiff flower stem). The earliest variety currently available from autumn planting. Ready to harvest in May. Not a storing variety. English production. RHS Award of Garden Merit.

If you have never grown garlic before, make sure you separate the bulbs into individual 'cloves' before planting.

Kitchen Notes

Garlic Scapes (aka Rocamboles). These tender green shoots form at the top of the stiff flower stems of hardneck garlic and are increasingly popular for adding flavour to a wide range of dishes - stir-fries, soups, salads, chopped and sautéed in butter and added to mashed potatoes or omelettes.
